I am currently representing a growing European solar energy company that develops, plans, builds, and operates large-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems across Germany and Europe. They are continuing to expand and are looking for a Planning Engineer to join their team and support the development of ground-mounted solar projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning PV projects from the preplanning stages through to commissioning. You will produce detailed CAD drawings, create material lists, work with suppliers, and ensure projects meet all relevant certification and conformity requirements.

The successful candidate will ideally be a Junior Electrical Engineer with 1-3 years of experience, alongside AutoCAD knowledge. Previous solar experience would be beneficial, but the company is happy to train someone with a strong electrical background and the right attitude.

You will be joining a steadily growing business, working alongside experienced engineers with plenty of opportunity to develop your technical skills and take on more responsibility.

The Role:

• Planning ground-mounted PV projects from preplanning to commissioning
• Creating detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD
• Producing material lists and working with suppliers
• Designing Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems
• Scaling cable and component designs
• Supporting certification and declarations of conformity

The Candidate:

• Electrical Engineering background
• 1-3 years' professional experience ideally
• AutoCAD experience
• German speaking, as all documentation and work is conducted in German
