Do you have experience servicing capital equipment and a background in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering?

I am currently representing a well-established global company specialising in smart packaging and automation solutions for industries including mailing, printing, textiles, medication, cosmetics and many others. Established in 1980 with a turnover of approximately €157 million, they are continuing to grow and are looking for a Field Service Technician to cover Southern Germany.

In this role, you will travel to customer sites across Southern Germany, carrying out commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting and customer training on automated packaging equipment. You will work on a variety of electrical, mechanical and PLC-related faults while representing the company directly with customers.

The successful candidate will have previous capital equipment service experience, ideally within a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics. Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is essential, alongside fluent German and English. Packaging experience is desirable but not essential.

The company offers extensive internal and external training on their machinery, with strong progression opportunities. As the business continues to grow, there is potential to progress into a Team Leader or Service Manager position within 1-2 years.

The Role:

• Commission, service and troubleshoot automated packaging equipment
• Travel across Southern Germany to customer sites
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical failures
• Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC systems
• Provide customer training and technical support
• Represent the company directly with customers

The Candidate:

• Capital equipment service experience
• Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or similar technical background
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
• Fluent German and English
• Packaging experience desirable but not essential
• Willing to travel throughout Southern Germany
